::. CV of Dr. Mata Hernàndez Maria Belén



She was born on september the 25th, 1966, in Saragoza, Spain. Since 1988 she began to attend the Psychiatric Department of the University of Saragoza, collaborating at numerous projects on Psychogeriatry. She graduated in 1990 with a thesis on “Data on psychiatric and psychosomatic illnesses in elderly: global prevalence and dementia”. From 1991 to 1993 she attended post-graduation courses at the same university. She specialized in Psychiatry in 2000 at the University of Pisa, Italy, discussing a thesis on “Long term treatment of Panic Disorder: compliance and effectiveness”. She is one of the founders of the Behavioural Science Institute “G. De Lisio”, in Pisa, and one of the members of the “Study and intervention group for social illnesses of the Tuscan region”, centre specialized in the treatment of drug addiction in Pietrasanta (Lucca). In the same group, she is co-responsible of the “Open Community Project” . She is author of numerous national and international scientific papers and chapters of books on psychopathology, clinic psychiatry and psychopharmacology.
